Being a Mom and a Business Owner
by: Yvonne

As a mom of two beautiful daughters, my number one priority has always been my children. By being an entrepreneur, I am given me the opportunity to do the two things I love the most, spending time with my kids and being my own boss. Having your own business is a lot of work but it is very rewarding. It gives me the flexibility to be involved with my kid's school. It also allows my kids to participate in after school activities and to hangout with mommy. Owning your own business does require you to work more hours than a regular nine to five but the hard work pays off. You are actually working hard and putting effort into something that belongs to you. Being a business owner also show's my girls that it's ok to be both a mom and a business owner. It teaches them not to limit their lives. You don't have to choose between motherhood over a career. You can have both and love it!!
