Top 5 Holiday Marketing Ideas Not to Forget for Your Business.
5. Give Back to Your Customer: Give back with discount coupons, free gifts, or no freight costs. This is a great way to increase your sales for the holiday season. Not only is your customer going to feel they are getting a great deal but are more likely to spend more. Psychologically they may feel guilty to spend a little more while shopping with you if they got a little extra in return. Bright someone else's holiday and they will return the favor.
4. Give Back to Your Employee: Remember this is vital this time of season. Not only because it is the season but also because they are your first line of contact with your customers. A disgruntled employee could cost you a lot of money but a happy employee can gain you millions. This also helps on raising morale in the work environment creating a more productive team. Psychologically if an employee feels they are appreciated or over paid so they may feel guilt to be more productive to balance this cycle.
3. Give Back to Your Community: This could be through your chamber of commerce or the local soup kitchen or maybe even your local churches. Remember to contribute to charities you feel are needed or beneficial and not to charity you are pressured to feel are important or feel guilty to contribute. This is a debate item on whether to donate as a company or individually based on if you take a stance for one charity over the other you may cause tension to customers, employees, and other business. I always donate anonymous to save the tension but still add intrinsic value to my holiday season. One way to participate at your chamber would be to donate gifts for after hour events. This would allow you to showcase your product to people that network with millions of other people. Also could lead to increased sales to business wishing to carry your items in their store.
2. Fishing Your Database: This is vital for any small business in reason to survival. Most advertising sources such as newspaper, phone book, and email marketers won't advise you to do because they know if you have a detailed source of great leads there are no real reasons to use their services. This database need to definitely be name, address, phone number, email address, but also the purchasing patterns of the customers along with dates. This will allow you to fish out last years Christmas shoppers and target what they were shopping last year compared to product your company is carrying this year such as hot products. Remember a great customer is like gold that can be continually mined.
1. Networking: Networking is one of the number one ways to increase your sales of any business. Word of mouth advertising may be free but is worth gold to your business. When one person hears about a great experience they are likely to try it out as well as pass it along. These opportunities give you the chance to give stellar service to the customers so if they have a great experience at your company they will be a residual customer worth millions and definitely tell a lot more people. This is also one of the fastest ways to advertise because gossip spreads like wildfire.
